to bring them in line with modern requirements.

Some examples are:
- Upgrading earth switches to new IEC requirements
- Increasing disconnector ratings to 63.5KA from
the 57KA installed
- Replacement and upgrade of outdated designs
at 420KV.
- Application of modification kits to enable maintenance
free contacts on disconnectors at 145KV
- Replacement, and subsequent refurbishment, of
420kv pantograph disconnectors suffering from severe coastal erosion
and pollution
